MedlinePlus, with the MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia, is a website network containing health information from the world's largest medical library, the United States National Library of Medicine, in cooperation with the National Institutes of Health.[1] The website also contains an online medical dictionary, drug/herbal index, and a news service for medical news reports.[1] The site is intended to be used by health care providers and patients, and designed to provide up-to-date, authoritative information.
