RTQ is an Australian television station broadcasting in regional Queensland in Australia. The network was owned by Star Television, before being purchased by the WIN Corporation on October 5, 1988.1
WIN News
WIN News produces regional news bulletins for five of the seven regional markets covered by RTQ - Rockhampton, Cairns, Townsville, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast. Reporters and camera crews are based within all regions from newsrooms in Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Cairns, Mackay, Maroochydore, Toowoomba and Townsville.
Studio presentation for the Cairns and Townsville bulletins is pre-recorded from RTQ's Rockhampton studios. The Rockhampton and Toowomba bulletins are broadcast live from local studios with weather for the Toowoomba bulletin pre-recorded from Rockhampton. The Sunshine Coast bulletin is pre-recorded from Toowoomba.
WIN News Rockhampton, WIN News Cairns and WIN News Townsville are presented by Paul Taylor with sports presenter Samantha Heathwood and weather presenter Peter Byrne (also weather presenter for Toowoomba).
WIN News Toowoomba and WIN News Sunshine Coast are presented by Marita Ramia and Travis McNamara with sports presenter Pat O' Shea on the Toowoomba bulletin and weather presenter Davina Smith on the Sunshine Coast bulletin.
No seperate bulletins are produced for the Mackay and Wide Bay regions.
