The Saône (IPA: [son]) (Sona in Arpitan) is a river of eastern France. It is a right tributary of the River Rhône (Rôno in Arpitan, Ròse in Occitan). Rising at Vioménil in the Vosges department, it joins the Rhône in Lyon (Liyon). Départements - and major cities - traversed:
